Dr. Julie-Ann Scott-Pollock, Dr. Joy Cypher, and I are excited to announce a new and ongoing series that we will be editing for Palgrave called "Critical Perspectives on Disability, Communication, and Culture." We welcome proposals for monographs and edited volumes from diverse academic disciplines and methodological and theoretical approaches. We are eager to work with both early-career and established scholars to showcase emerging work that aligns with Critical Disability Studies or Crip Studies. This is an open CFP without deadline, so submissions are welcome at anytime.

To submit a proposal, please include the following:
  • Indicate whether your proposal is for a monograph or an edited volume;
  • A working title and provisional outline of the chapters;
  • An abstract of approximately 500 words to describe scope of the project;
  • Brief author bio highlighting education, institutional affiliation, and research.

If the editors believe the project would be a good fit, then we will ask you to complete and submit either the Edited Volume Book Proposal form or the Monograph Book Proposal form. Decision to offer a contract for publication will be based on evaluation of the respective form and submission of any additional information that the publisher may request.

For more information or to submit a proposal, please email any of the editors at: [email protected]; [email protected]; [email protected].

    Welcome to my blog page. I write occasionally on topics I care about. I am a professor, a disability advocate and social critic. Above all, I am a lucky husband, father and grandparent.
